Persons that correspond to the social expectation of the gender, i.e. their gender expression is aligned with the sex assigned at birth. Consequently, there are cis women and men. The prefix cis comes from the Latin "from this side" or "corresponding to" and is the antonym of the prefix trans, which means "from the other side".
